Getting Legal Help
Seniors First BC provide services to people age 55 and over, who are not able to access legal help elsewhere due to low income or other barriers. We have a legal advocate as well as staff lawyers.
Our legal advocate may be able to provide legal advice and representation for the following legal issues:
- Residential Tenancy/Housing
Our lawyers may be able to provide legal advice and representation in the following areas:
- Assisted Living/Long Term Care
- Financial Exploitation
- Consumer Complaints
- Pension Appeals
Seniors First BC does not provide assistance in all areas of law. We do not give advice on estate administration, real estate, criminal law or family law matters.
How to get legal help from Seniors First BC
Please phone our SAIL line at 604-437-1940 (toll free – 1-866-437-1940). When you call, we will either provide you with some information or refer you to our legal staff for further assistance.
If you would like to talk to someone to get emotional support, you can speak to our Victim Services Support Worker.
We now offer legal services for seniors, who cannot otherwise afford assistance, at select locations in New Westminster, Surrey, Burnaby, North Vancouver and Vancouver’s West End once a month.
