Getting Legal Help

Seniors First BC provide services to people age 55 and over, who are not able to access legal help elsewhere due to low income or other barriers.  We have a legal advocate as well as staff lawyers.

Our legal advocate may be able to provide legal advice and representation for the following legal issues:

  • Residential Tenancy/Housing
  • Debt
  • Pensions and Benefits


Our lawyers may be able to provide legal advice and representation in the following areas:

  • Assisted Living/Long Term Care
  • Discrimination
  • Abuse/Neglect
  • Financial Exploitation
  • Consumer Complaints
  • Guardianship/Capacity
  • Pension Appeals

Seniors First BC does not provide assistance in all areas of law. We do not give advice on estate administration, real estate, criminal law or family law matters.

Satellite Clinics

We now offer legal clinics for seniors, who cannot otherwise afford assistance, at select locations in New Westminster, Surrey, Burnaby,Richmond, North Vancouver and Vancouver’s West End once a month.
