How to get legal help from Seniors First BC

Please call our confidential BC Provincial Seniors Abuse and Information line (SAIL)  604-437-1940 (toll free – 1-866-437-1940). Seniors First BC provides services to people age 55 and over, who are not able to access legal help elsewhere due to low income or other barriers.


Legal Advocate

Our legal advocate may be able to provide legal advice and representation for the following legal issues:

  • Residential Tenancy/Housing
  • Debt
  • Pensions and Benefits

Lawyers

Seniors First BC does not provide assistance in all areas of law. We invite you to call our Seniors Abuse and Information Line to speak to a trained intake worker about the legal matter you need assistance with. Our Lawyers  may be able to provide legal advice and representation in the following areas:

  • Assisted Living/Long Term Care
  • Discrimination
  • Abuse/Neglect
  • Financial Exploitation
  • Consumer Complaints
  • Guardianship/Capacity
  • Pension Appeals

Satellite Clinics

We offer legal consultations for seniors at select locations in Richmond, New Westminster, Surrey, Burnaby, North Vancouver, and Vancouver. Currently, we are giving legal consultations at two locations:

Barclay Manor in collaboration with West End Seniors’ Network, every 1st Friday of the month, from 10 AM to 12PM.

Minoru Centre for Active Living in Richmond, every fourth Thursday of the month from 10AM to 12PM.
