National Indigenous Peoples Day 2025

Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day. Happening annually on June 21st, on this day we recognize, celebrate, and honour the achievements, history, and rich cultures of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples across Canada.

Seniors First BC promotes the dignity of all older adults in BC, including older Indigenous Peoples. We are committed to working towards reconciliation, and we have offered tailored services to First Nations elders since 2022.

We serve First Nations across BC with the support of the Law Foundation of British Columbia and in partnership with the Haida Gwaii Legal Project Society, the Bella Coola Legal Advocacy Program, the Heiltsuk Health Centre, the shíshálh Nation, and upon request by First Nations and Friendship Centres across BC.
