Canada Dental Care Plan

The Government of Canada is accepting applications for the Canadian Dental Care Plan in phases starting with seniors. The care plan is intended to reduce financial barriers to accessing oral health for eligible Canadian residents who have an family net income of less than $90,000 per year and who do not have access to dental insurance.

In mid-December 2023, letters containing instructions on how to apply and personalized application codes were mailed to seniors aged 87 and above who may qualify. Those aged 77 to 86 will receive these letters starting in January 2024, and those aged 72 to 76 in February 2024. To learn when other age groups can apply, visit here.
