(Past Event) Fri. June 14, 2024—What no-one wants to talk about: Understanding Elder Abuse. Host: West End Seniors Network

In partnership with the West End Seniors Network, we are delivering a presentation on Elder Abuse - what it is, how we can deal with it.

This presentation addresses the correlation between social isolation and abuse of older adults, types of abuse and indicators, risk factors, and strategies to deal with abuse. We discuss the importance of staying connected with others and introduce several resources that can assist older adults and concerned third parties in situations of elder abuse.
