World Elder Abuse Awareness Day Officially Proclaimed in BC

The Attorney General of British Columbia has officially proclaimed June 15th as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day in BC (WEAAD). This is a significant proclamation that highlights the Government of British Columbia’s commitment to ensuring that older adults have safe communities across the province, and that their many contributions are recognized and supported. In addition to the proclamation, a purple flag, which are the colours representing WEAAD, has been raised in front of the Legislature building in Victoria.
