SFBC at Eldercare Foundation and Century House

Here’s what Seniors First BC has recently been up to:

In partnership with Eldercare Foundation, we presented on Government Benefits at the Yakimovich Wellness Center in Victoria on Jan. 21.

1. Nighat Afsar, Seniors Legal Advocate (SFBC)

2. Nighat Afsar with Anika Sekhon (Eldercare Foundation) and Linda Yauk (SFBC, Public Education & Outreach)

We also hosted an information table at the weekly Community Connections gathering at Century House in New Westminster. Organized by Community Navigator, Judy Venable, this event brings older adults together for coffee, snacks, and socializing, and a rotation of community organizations to increase their awareness of resources.

3. Xiaowei Li (SFBC, Public Education), Judy Venable (Century House) and Christie Carrington (SFBC, Public Education)

4. Linda Yauk (SFBC, Public Education) and Judy Venable (Century House)
