The annual Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council (NTC) Disability Access Awareness Committee (DAAC) Health Ability Fair took place on October 28 and 29 in Port Alberni. Elders from many Nuu’chah’nulth Nations gathered to enjoy meals, socializing, live entertainment, personal services, traditional brushings and traditional cedar weaving. They heard from guest speakers and visited service booths. Seniors First BC was honoured and grateful to participate in this event by giving two presentations and hosting a resource table.
Special thanks to Florence Wylie, Helen Dick, Les Doiron, and everyone involved in organizing this special fair.
