The Public Education & Outreach Program hosts unique provincial learning events that raise awareness about prominent issues affecting older adults in BC and empowers participants with information about their options, rights, and assistive resources. Older adults across the province can attend our learning events for free both in person and virtually, which are held in partnership with and by request from other service providing agencies.  

Due to high demand for our learning events, we are seeking volunteer legal professionals who can assist with the delivery of legal presentations, which include Financial Abuse, Advance Planning, Government Benefits, Fraud and Scams, and Residential Tenancy, as well help with developing public legal education materials. 

Volunteer Requirements: 

• 完成警方犯罪記錄審查。
• Have a combination of relevant legal education and experience. 
• Have access to reliable transportation to learning events if presenting in person. 
• Have experience communicating with clients or older adults and be comfortable doing so. 
• Experience delivering public legal education events. 
• Cultural competency and respect for all older adults in BC, including people who are BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and seniors with disabilities. 
• Ability to present in languages other than English an asset. 

地點：義工可以線上或線下進行演講。大多數親身線下演講的請求來自低陸平原地區。 

時間投入：每月 5-10 小時，取決於演示請求的數量。
